The average federal worker in 2016 earned?

The story behind sex change surgery you haven't heard

Those supporting and driving the agenda to self identification ( I feel ) are lying, misrepresenting and using political power through the courts to intimidate institutions, business and individuals.

There is no discussion - its just power which they had with Obama along with now the new socialist/marxist Democratic Power, the media, hollywood and many of new tech companies.

Where is the opposition? A lot of silence is the fear of  having the power of government destroy your life because its their way or else.  Most of the churches have caved and Pope Francis is endangering the Catholic Church going in  same direction.

These are not social issue but foundational to any society and culture.  But when has the baby boomer generation given a hoot about anything except what they feel at any moment.

Are entertainment is video games, cartoons (kids & adults (The Simpsons) and supernational powers.  Not a lot of reality.

Is there a solution, plan, direction?

Yes, each citizen has to answer this question - do American citizens (legally here) want to govern themselves or continue to turn more over to a government that is not from, by and for the citizens?

Power and Sex: Why Our Culture Needs the Church’s Teachings on Sexuality

EDITORIAL: Let the Body of Christ be a beacon of chastity so that men and women can learn to trust each other again.  The recent testimony of female celebrities and ordinary women who have been preyed upon sexually by powerful men has demanded a reckoning across many sectors of American life....

Afraid the March has reversed course

The Long March Ahead

The Back Page

Full article......"Anyway, I expect the course of things is set for the near future: a comfortable combination of authoritarianism and libertarianism; a provident, intrusive, and imperious state allied to a corporate culture that encourages, gratifies, and endlessly amplifies an amoral appetite for the trivial and ephemeral; extraordinary governmental power wielded peremptorily in the name of endless warfare abroad and of ever more perfect civil order and social justice at home; culture replaced by advertising, shared custom by private impulse, community by television; public life reduced to the bare dialectic of state power and individual rights. There may be a path open that leads beyond that state of things—a path not primarily political, but rather cultural and spiritual—but it will not be easy to find, and it will be a very long march indeed"

Clinton campaign propaganda appears to have triggered Obama administration spying on Trump’s campaign

Full article....  a great outline to the dangers presented to our Republic by the Department of Justice and the FBI but not isolated to just these two institutions.  Take any agency over the past 8 yrs and presently acting against a sitting president and picture is one of they present themselves above working for us and definitely the law means nothing to them except to destroy those who disagree and will not bow to them.

Hezbollah’s Narco-Terror Nexus in Latin America

Does this tie in with the Politico article regarding Obama and the Iran nuclear agreement?
Also, are the cartels being paid and used to potential terrorist across the border – is this confirmation ?
We’re going to wake up one day very soon and it will be too late. We have learn nothing and our elected officials have shown a total disregard for borders and our nation. This is not going to end well.
When we ignore our southern America’s, its a mistake but now the stakes are much higher with Iran’s proxy at our door..  read more

Throwing Good Money after Bad Doesn't Improve Government Schools

Foundation for Economic Education.

If giving teachers more money doesn’t work, is it possible that spending more money on facilities will help?
Whenever I discuss education policy with one of my leftist friends, it usually follows the same script. They’ll ask whether I want a good education for kids. I’ll say yes. They’ll then say we should devote more money to government schools.

I then show them this powerful chart and point out that we’ve been following their approach for 40-plus years and that it hasn’t worked. None of them has ever had an effective or coherent response .... read more

Sen Saunders - you are not a Democrat

Why doesn't Democratic Party tell Sen Saunders to start his own Socialist Party - he is not a Democrat. Why are citizen who register as Democrats having to pay for and have a non-Democrat as a candidate? And to be associated with his views and policies.

I know one state democratic party by-laws require a vote of state central committee and its bi-annual state convention to support a non-Democrat.

Campaign - not a campaign

This is introduction to what this means - hopefully I can get a couple of resources to make this a reality.  The campaign will be either for Congressional District or Governor.  It will be my home state of Nebraska.

Been reading, listening, watching and conversing with sources to get a sense if my instincts and observations are relevant and worth anyone's time

Not going to start here but in next week will be posting about my thoughts .

Nebraska’s Economy Shrinking

 Platte Institute for Economic Research

Government Data Show Nebraska’s Economy Shrinking – What Does It Mean?

Newly reported data by the Bureau of Economic Analysis at the U.S. Department of Commerce show Nebraska had negative 4 percent (-4.0) growth in State GDP for the 1st quarter of 2017 (January 1 – March 31).

That’s the lowest economic growth in the country for that period. But these figures alone do not mean Nebraska is currently in a recession.

Technically, a recession is two consecutive quarters of negative growth.  Nebraska had a positive 1.1 percent growth in the fourth quarter of 2016 (October 1 – December 31).  If, however, the second quarter of the year also shows negative growth, then by definition Nebraska would be in a recession.

2016 saw recessions in the country’s energy producing states, yet in recent quarters these states have seen a rebound.  Now the heavily-agricultural Plains states are seeing poor growth.

The only Plains states to have positive growth in the first quarter were North Dakota and Missouri.  On the whole, the Plains states saw negative 0.9 percent (-0.9) growth, while all other regions reported positive growth.

Only seven states saw negative growth in the first quarter: Nebraska, South Dakota, Iowa, Hawaii, Kansas, Montana, and Minnesota.

According to these figures, the main contributor to the negative growth comes from the “Agriculture, forestry, fishing and hunting” category, dropping 3.85 percent (-3.85).  Other areas of Nebraska’s economy that saw negative growth were:
  • Utilities (-0.16)
  • Retail trade (-0.15)
  • Transportation and warehousing (-0.28)
  • Finance and insurance (-0.38)
  • Real estate and rental and leasing (-0.13)
  • Professional scientific and technical services (-0.14)
  •  Management of companies and enterprises (-0.13)
  • Arts, Entertainment and Recreation (-0.04)
Economic growth is a key measurement of improvements in the quality of life in Nebraska.  It will be important for policymakers in Nebraska to keep an eye on these figures as the year continues, and to understand what these changes may signal about Nebraska’s economic outlook.

Only group that it's acceptable to attack is Christians

Another example of the intolerance being generated by the gay agenda. But you won't see or hear this on your local radio or TV stations or national.   Its a broken record but when its reversed the world is coming to an end and the lynch mop gathers.

Judge's Faith Judged by Left

July 31, 2017
Senator Bernie Sanders (I-Vt.) isn't the only one who wants to drive Christians out of the workplace. After the red-faced senator went on an angry tirade over the faith of Trump's budget pick, the backlash was so intense that even the media chimed in. The idea that the Left would impose a religious litmus test seemed shockingly un-American. But if liberals learned their lesson, you wouldn't know it in Alabama, where LGBT activists are suggesting that a judge should be disqualified from a case simply for being a believer.

students got a lesson all right -- in intolerance!

Very instructive of those driving and using the gay agenda.  Its really not about marriage equality or discrimination and this is not an outliner. The proper word used in article is correct - intolerance.

Why does this person still have job in our public schools. Has he apologized - I doubt it.

If tables were turned, it would be classified as 'hate speech' which clearly is this.

Vice Principal Schooled in Principle

July 31, 2017
At a Pennsylvania academy, students got a lesson all right -- in intolerance! When two pro-life high schoolers decided to protest abortion on the public sidewalk outside the school, they had a surprising (and profanity-laced) visit from a member of the administration, Vice Principal of Student Life Zach Ruff.

Goats Are Doing Our Job, Says Union

Can't make this up.

But its important - our tax dollars support the university and they are hired to run it manage costs. Don't need more life-long employees and frankly maybe should institute a program for student to do more work - sweat equity to reduce their tuition/room & board or cash.  This is labor pool that needs to learn work especially the dignity of any work.

Cato At Liberty

Great moments in public employee unionism, as recorded in the Battle Creek (Mich.) Enquirer:
A battle is brewing at Western Michigan University this summer between a group of hungry goats and a labor union.
The 400-member American Federation of State, County and Municipal Employees has filed a grievance contending that the work the goats are doing in a wooded lot is taking away jobs from laid-off union workers.
A spokeswoman said the university had brought in a crew of the nimble-footed ruminants “to clear undergrowth in a woodlot, much of it poison ivy and other vegetation that is a problem for humans to remove….Not wanting to use chemicals, either, we chose the goat solution to stay environmentally friendly.”
The goats are already ahead of schedule in their task of clearing 15 acres before the fall semester – unless the National Labor Relations Board gets mad and decides to charge in.

Its important to have a working relationship with countries. First, respecting their perspective and sovereignty.  Second, not impose our values, traditions and policies. Third,  where its vital to our national interests and their - common ground. Can't always but honest and open conversations are greatly needed by our President.  This is a good picture followed, most importantly by an action.

Situation Report

Syria: Cease-Fire In Southwest Holding

A U.S.- and Russia-brokered cease-fire for southwest Syria was holding hours after it took effect on July 9, a monitor and two rebel officials said, Reuters reported. The United States, Russia and Jordan reached a cease-fire and "de-escalation agreement" this week with the aim of paving the way for a broader, more robust truce. The announcement came after a meeting between U.S. President Donald Trump and Russian President Vladimir Putin at the G-20 summit in Germany. The agreement is one of the few areas on which the two countries can find compromise. Still, several cease-fires have crumbled since the onset of the Syrian conflict.

Cost of governments in America

Yes, there are many differences but the keen observation is the increasing dependency by a larger number of Americans and businesses on taxpayers.  Without increased economic growth, more working Americans and significant reduction in governments (local, state & federal) the present policies and directions are not sustainable.

The highlighted text below could well apply to America.

Situation Report

Egypt: Government Hikes Electricity Prices To Trim Deficit, Secure Global Finance

Cairo increased household electricity prices by up to 42 percent as part of a plan to tackle the deficit and placate the International Monetary Fund, Bloomberg reported July 6. The move, which follows a decision a week earlier to sharply increase fuel prices, is likely to create further tension among a population already struggling with soaring living costs. Egypt agreed to cut power subsidies and spending as part of a plan to secure a $12 billion International Monetary Fund lifeline that is regarded as vital to boosting the confidence of foreign investors. However, Egyptians have grown accustomed to the government's wide-reaching subsidy programs, which are being kept afloat largely by foreign aid. If the Egyptian government cannot find a way to sustain them, the country's fragile stability may not hold.

Why Americans Feel Less Free Today Than 10 Years Ago

....The size of government is certainly a problem. Federal, state, and local governments spent an astonishing 37.7 percent of America’s gross domestic product in 2015. That’s over 37 cents of every dollar Americans produced in 2015....

Who has discretionary dollars and how much?

Goodbye Middle Class: 51 Percent Of All American Workers Make Less Than 30,000 Dollars A Year. Think they have an extra $103 per money for discretionary spending?

This is problem with such polls and data as this - its misleading. Open for whatever opinion you may subscribe to can use this.

What are the variables used to determine discretionary and by whom. For example, Is a Galaxy 8 discretionary or necessary expenditure? New versus used car for purchase?

Remember the political gospel - 'all politics is local'. So is money.

US Consumer Spending Near Nine-Year High in June, at $103

US Consumer Spending Near Nine-Year High in June, at $103
by Justin McCarthy

Story Highlights

  • Essentially unchanged from May, when it averaged $104
  • June's average on par with most May-to-June changes
  • Consumers' daily spending has averaged at least $100 since February
WASHINGTON, D.C. -- Americans' daily self-reports of spending averaged $103 in June, similar to their average of $104 in May. Last month represents the highest level of reported June spending since 2008, when spending averaged $104. It falls just short of the nine-year high of $114, from May 2008.

Who benefits - definitely not private workers

This is the public sector unions of Illinois keeping their jobs, pensions, and healthcare at the expense of private sector workers who do not have this fantastic compensation package.  Plus with a basically guarantee to not lose their job.
Raise personal income tax rate 32% from 3% to near 5% and spending at close to $37B. No spending reduction to reduce the burden on Illinois non- public sector workers.  Remember, every private non state working person NOT receiving their job directly from the State or local government or through programs and agencies funded with be paying not only their 32% but those in the public sector.
Oh, by the way, what is your premium for health insurance going to be 2018?
That is what Democrats  have done here - protect their political base and funding mechanism and 'be damn with the rest of the people and businesses in the state'
But they keep getting elected  so maybe in years ahead it will be Cuba with no opposition.

A Small Business with 20,000 employees - Congress

Did you know that Congress employs close to 20,000 people which should get all our attentions but that they consider this a 'small business'. Another outrage and clear disregard to those who are paying - US

When are the 'pitchforks' coming out? My guess never - sad.

Judicial Watch Asks Trump Administration to End Congressional Obamacare Exemption

JUNE 23, 2017

(Washington, DC) – Judicial Watch requested the Trump administration stop members of Congress and their staff from unlawfully purchasing, with taxpayer subsidies, health insurance through the District of Columbia’s small business exchange. The Judicial Watch request was made on June 14, 2017, to the Centers for Medicare Medicaid Services (CMS) as part of a process set out by the Department of Health and Human Services to reform the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act (ACA), otherwise known as Obamacare.

Rice’s Unmasking Material is at Obama Library

This might not be illegal, not an attorney, but on the surface it implies keeping info from investigations which have been on-going since Trump announced and therefore couldn't this be obstruction of justice.  To non-legal observers yes.
It was deliberate and intention.  Obama and his appointees and most of federal employees do not abide by its their responsibility to show by their actions the importance of adhering to the law.  No more
This is example of what has been going on for past 9 years.

Can Democratic Party policy on illegal immigration be reversed?

Finding the Way Back on Immigration Isn’t Going to Be Easy for full article
Agree - the present makeup and leadership at local, state and national level of Democratic Party has been allowed to be hijacked by the radical left which was the Obama coalition. They didn't want to go against a 1/2 black president - sold out white working class Americans.

Think this had something to do with the getting Trump elected. You think it was only Republicans.

Remember you went along with saying to white middle-class working people bye, bye. Just read this  from Thomas Edsall

Being an 'intolerable' make my thought & actions subversive?

On this, the 68th anniversary of 1984’s publication, it is perhaps worthwhile to take a few minutes and consider whether we have unconsciously adopted the three slogans of the Party — War Is Peace, Freedom Is Slavery, Ignorance Is Strength. In our unthinking rush for “safety” of all kinds, I’m afraid that in some ways, we have.

..this city will have executed a nonviolent coup against a constitutionally elected president..

The Impeach-Trump Conspiracy

By Patrick J. Buchanan

Pressed by Megyn Kelly on his ties to President Trump, an exasperated Vladimir Putin blurted out, “We had no relationship at all. … I never met him. … Have you all lost your senses over there?”

Yes, Vlad, we have.

Consider the questions that have convulsed this city since the Trump triumph, and raised talk of impeachment.

Did Trump collude with Russians to hack the DNC emails and move the goods to WikiLeaks, thus revealing the state secret that DNC chair Debbie Wasserman Schultz was putting the screws to poor Bernie Sanders?

Why There is No “Made in America” Tax

How Foreign-Made Imports and American-Made Exports Are Taxed
In the debate over whether to adopt a destination-based cash flow tax with a border adjustment tax (BAT) to replace our current corporate income tax, proponents argue that foreign value-added taxes (VAT) give foreign companies an advantage over American companies that the BAT would correct.

Review of Tax Credit Payments to Illegal Aliens

Why is this man still running the IRS? This might be the slimiest one in 'the swamp'. The federal workforce is as much of threat as the Democratic Party, the Left and the media.

Senator Seeks Review of Tax Credit Payments to Illegal Aliens

By: RJ Hauman

Last week, Senate Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs Committee Chairman Ron Johnson (R-WI) sent a letter to Treasury Secretary Steven Mnuchin asking him to examine the Internal Revenue Service’s (IRS) failure to prevent fraudulent overpayments of the Additional Child Tax Credit (ACTC) to illegal aliens. (Johnson Press Release and Letter, June 1, 2017) The Wisconsin Republican’s letter arrives shortly after President Trump submitted his Fiscal Year 2018 budget request to Congress, which seeks to ensure that only people authorized to work in the United States receive tax credits, including the ACTC. Reality is that status quo policy will continue status quo growth.

Friday’s report on the labor market in May was a disappointment. There were only 138,000 new payroll jobs (the household survey showed a loss of 233,00), and there were significant (66,000 total) downward revisions to March and April. While average hourly earnings did rise, they were up only slightly more than inflation. Since average weekly hours were flat, the foundations of income growth were so-so at best. Worse, overall the household survey was weak as the labor force fell by 429,000  and labor force participation dropped from 62.9 to 62.7 percent.

Pure political hit piece

The content of article clearly outlines this country experienced for eight years under Obama, Democratic Party, the media, corporate America and the public sector worker.
Any 20 year old political junky could write this and do everyday.

In a publication I once respected for its objectivity. Disappointing but likely directed to your present like-mined audience.

Obama couldn't have done the damage without the both parties, the media, educational complex and the American people. This has been coming for 40 years - thanks to baby boomer generation. Have never taken responsibility for anything - its always someone else. Pathetic.

Do I have hope it will change? No

Is America Still Safe for Democracy?

Why the United States Is in Danger of Backsliding

The election of Donald Trump as president of the United States—a man who has praised dictators, encouraged violence among supporters, threatened to jail his rival, and labeled the mainstream media as “the enemy”—has raised fears that the United States may be heading toward authoritarianism. While predictions of a descent into fascism are overblown, the Trump presidency could push the United States into a mild form of what we call “competitive authoritarianism”—a system in which meaningful democratic institutions exist yet the government abuses state power to disadvantage its opponents.
But the challenges facing American democracy have been emerging for decades, long before Trump arrived on the scene. Since the 1980s, deepening polarization and the radicalization of the Republican Party have weakened the institutional foundations that have long safeguarded U.S. democracy—making a Trump presidency considerably more dangerous today than it would have been in previous decades.
There is little reason to expect Americans’ commitment to democracy to serve as a safeguard against democratic erosion... read more

Where was this before we lauched the cruise missiles?

Yet on April 2, 1917, requesting before a Joint Session of Congress a declaration of war against Germany, Wilson delivered his most famous address, with its celebrated phrase “the world must be made safe for democracy”:
"Its peace must be planted upon the tested foundations of political liberty….A steadfast concert for peace can never be maintained except by a partnership of democratic nations. No autocratic government could be trusted to keep faith within it or observe its covenants. It must be a league of honor, a partnership of opinion….Only free peoples can hold their purpose and their honor steady to a common end and prefer the interests of mankind to any narrow interest of their own."    Read Article

Now Is This Difficult?

Representative Mo Brooks has introduced legislation to do just that -- it's called "The ObamCare Repeal Act."

Even better, this legislation is a mere two-pages in length, and repeals Obamacare with a single sentence that reads:

"Effective as of Dec. 31, 2017, the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act is repealed, and the provisions of law amended or repealed by such Act are restored or revived as if such Act had not been enacted."

" DNC Chair Candidate: My Job Is To Tell White People When To Shut Their Mouths.."

This was the Democratic Party's liberal wing that forced President Johnson not to run in 1968 led by Sen McCarthy.

In 2017, Sen McCarthy couldn't be in this Democratic Party and difficult being in Republican Party.
This is how a lot of Democrats feel today - we have a woman running for DNC who said the following.." DNC Chair Candidate: My Job Is To Tell White People When To Shut Their Mouths.." and is not condemned but supported - where do we belong??

A Colony of the World: The United States Today : America's Senior Statesman Warns His Countrymen Hardcover – October, 1992

In this powerful book, Senator Eugene McCarthy explains how America has been turning into a colony of the rest of the world--a captive of its self-imposed duty to police the world, its borders a mockery for all to cross.  McCarthy speaks frankly with the clear voice of reason at a time when issues are obscured by misleading advertising and election-time rhetoric.

Have fallen so far - what a generation this baby boomers.
