From the nominee for Director of Homeland Security..

"...On the personal side, Kelly learned firsthand the pain and loss suffered by many military families. His son, 2nd Lt. Robert M. Kelly, died in Afghanistan fighting the Taliban in 2010. Four days later, the general delivered a passionate and at times angry speech about the military’s sacrifices and its troops’ growing sense of isolation from society.

“Their struggle is your struggle,” he told a crowd of former Marines and business people in St. Louis. “If anyone thinks you can somehow thank them for their service, and not support the cause for which they fight — our country — these people are lying to themselves. . . . More important, they are slighting our warriors and mocking their commitment to this nation.”

It will be tough to get honest and open discussion within local and state party to move it from its present positions and makeup.

Doubt there will be openness and honest assessment.

That leaves millions of us Democrats where - alienated and in a lot of cases despised by the present leadership, members and staff of the party.

Could there be a new party and present Democratic Party changes its name?

This organization is doing what the media should be doing - reporting.

Not the 'horse race' and process of the election as well as being arm of Clinton campaign and Obama White House.

They are tirelessly pushing - very similar to the Washington Post in doing the reporting of Watergate.

 Clinton Scandal Update

Hillary Clinton’s use of an email server in the basement of her home while she was secretary of state will leave a permanent stain on our system of justice and on the public’s trust in government.

This became abundantly clear during our “Clinton Scandal Update – Emails and the Clinton Foundation” symposium held here in Washington on September 29, 2016.  The full video is available here – and is well worth watching and sharing........

.....I added that Congress has refused to take any kind of substantive action on the scandal. “Congress is refusing to take steps to hold Mrs. Clinton accountable. Why isn’t there a contempt citation pending now? Emails were destroyed after they were subpoenaed. Congressmen don’t want accountability to get in their way of retaining the Congress. I’m talking about the Republicans.”

I also noted that civil service employees stayed quiet even though they knew what was going on with Clinton’s email apparatus. “It’s a fundamental issue of government transparency,” I said. “We depend on the good faith of government when we file a Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) request. We rely on civil servants to do the job they’ve been entrusted to do. Hillary Clinton tore that compact up. If Mrs. Clinton gets away with it, if there’s no institutional accountability for her conduct, FOIA may end because you can’t rely on the law being enforced.”

This, as you can see, is no longer just about Bill and Hillary Clinton. It’s about the federal government generally, the FBI, the Department of Justice, the rule of law, national security, transparency and trust in government.  Again, the full video of the blockbuster educational panel is available here.

What could have been - Trump & Republican establishment

This campaign had opportunity to not be what it has become - my thought of what should have been done.

Doesn't matter now but it shows that our politics, leaders and media do not have the interest of the country - only their own

Future Warfare in the Western Pacific

Would be important to American people to have the two candidates for President,  informing the country of this area of the world and how to move forward.

But then again, the media is only interested in personalities and the process (polls - who's up & who's down).  So don't count on being informed - citizen, you have to do it yourself.  The great things is this technology gives you that ability - use it or lose it.
